Susila Bailey-Bond Artist Statement:
My work is a reflection of my background as an art student, fashion designer, and life-long artist. From as early as I can remember I have been obsessed with creating bright and optimistic artworks in a variety of mediums. These days, whether I am making a delicate paper-cut work, a portrait from dots, or a bold, graphic based mixed-media print, my intention is to create something intriguing for the viewer through my accute appreciation of colour, form and composition.

2020 - 21 During COVID most art fairs were cancelled and galleries closed their doors, lasting for around 18 months on and off. I used the time during lockdown to develop new ideas around my paper cut work, and hatch new concepts for other styles

2023 - Large diptych for ICART for ocean cruise liner
2020/22 - Numerous private commissions for clients in lockdown. Notably 4 large aluminium works for one collector, and a very large papercut diptych for an entrance hall. Represented the Elephant family as hands-on Elephant refurbishment.
